Media Library Category Document List
An automatically-generated unordered list of all documents (pdf, docx etc) contained within a specific Media Library category.
This list does not generate links to images, only documents. If there are any image files in the selected Media Library folder, the list will still generate but images will be ignored. An example of a Document List with description is:
Sample heading (in List description)
Sample introductory text (in List description).
Required fields
There are only two essential fields to be defined to generate this document list:
- Name for the content item (not visible on the generated page)
- Media Library location of one of the items within the desired category
A List description can optionally be entered to introduce or accompany the list, positioned above it.
The Description field of each media item forms the link text - add or edit this if necessary in the Media Library (not in the content field). This description is highlighted in yellow in the image below.
The file format (e.g. pdf) is automatically appended after the link text (this is not visible in Preview).
The order of the list is alphabetical (alphanumeric) by media item Name - e.g. 20180220-ferb-minutes.pdf in the Media Library list below - see also Dates in names.
